HOW TO MAKE A DAIQUIRI: LAKI KANE’S CLASSIC RECIPE

When it comes to Tiki drinks Caipirinhas and Mojitos are always top of our list.. But a simple rum Daiquiri enjoyed at the beginning of the night - truly can’t compare. If you’re looking for a Daiquiri recipe, tropical-inspired Laki Kane’s stand-out version is always worth shaking up!

We've persuaded some of London's best bartenders to open their recipe books and tell us how to make some of their most-loved cocktails. This time Laki Kane have kindly shared the recipe for their perfectly balanced Classic Daiquiri - so any rum lovers can now make it at home!

Laki Kane is London’s very own tropical escape, filled to the rafters with palms, bamboo walls and rattan lampshades - and plenty of rum cocktails.  It’s also owned by one of our favourite bartenders - Georgi Radev - who has been kind enough to share the Laki Kane recipe for the perfect Daiquiri, for you to shake up yourself.

Laki Kane’s Classic Daiquiri

50ml Bacardi Carta Blanca rum
5ml Trois Rivieres Blanc 50%
15ml Organic raw cane sugar syrup ( 1.5 part of Raw Cane Sugar to 1 part of Water)
20ml Lime Juice

To prepare, pop a coupette glass into the fridge or freezer for ten minutes or so to make sure it is nice and cold. Then add all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and SHAKE!
Fine strain into your prepared glass and garnish with a slice of lime.

“Daiquiris. My absolutely favourite cocktail to make - easy, boom, 1,2,3! If you want to play around with it - try using a different rum. If I’m feeling sophisticated I might go for something aged”. - Georgi Radev

Laki Kane is part of London Cocktail Week’s Curated Cocktail Tours - serving an £8 Signature Cocktail to wristband wearers.
