Nestled in the depths of Brasserie Zédel - unless you’ve descended the stairs before, you’ll almost certainly think you’re in the wrong place. However – hold fast and keep going and you’ll emerge into the circular atrium that then leads onto the bar. Art Deco opulence ensues with low rosewood tables packed into the space and countless Josephine Baker images donning the walls. For those old enough to remember this as The Atlantic – very little has changed (except the clientele) and it’s a gloriously nostalgic destination, just a stones throw from Piccadilly Circus.
