Bar Briefing Document : EDI Agreement for venue Partners

London Cocktail Week is committed to promoting and driving equity, diversity and inclusion among our workforce, partner venues, and customers, and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The organisation – in providing goods and/or services and/or facilities – is committed against unlawful discrimination of freelance workers, consultants, contractors, affiliate workers, customers or the public.

London Cocktail Week and all participating venues will be a place of safety and respect for everyone who works here, uses the festival or associated venues, or visits to enjoy London Cocktail Week experiences.

We want to be clear what is expected from everyone who is part of the London Cocktail Week community and our expectations of you.

We will be conscious of neurodiversity and cultural factors to make sure we are inclusive where people may be differently able to meet our expectations. 

London Cocktail Week upholds the rights for all people to be protected under the Equality Act 2010 and is vehemently opposed to any forms of direct or indirect discrimination, prejudicial behaviour, verbal abuse, physical assault, incitements to hate, and hate crimes perpetrated by any persons working at/with the festival or any venue associated with it, any persons visiting the festival or any venue associated with it.

EXPECTATIONS FOR VENUE PARTNERS:

 

 

Agreement policy’s purpose

This policy’s purpose is to:

  1. Provide equity, fairness and respect for all in our employment, whether temporary, part-time or full-time
     
  2. Not unlawfully discriminate because of the Equality Act 2010 protected characteristics of:
  • age
  • disability
  • gender reassignment
  • marriage and civil partnership
  • pregnancy and maternity
  • race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin)
  • religion or belief
  • sex
  • sexual orientation

  1. Oppose and avoid all forms of unlawful discrimination. This includes in:
  • pay and benefits
  • terms and conditions of employment
  • dealing with grievances and discipline
  • dismissal
  • redundancy
  • leave for parents
  • requests for flexible working
  • selection for employment, promotion, training or other developmental opportunities 

 

Zero Tolerance

London Cocktail Week operates a zero tolerance policy for any unlawful discrimination by venues and their associated staff.
