Anyone can make a tasty drink. And while some drinks are so delicious that it's hard to see beyond the liquid, that’s rarely scoring full marks. The challenge in Elliot's bars over the years has been here - creating specs from concepts, throwing together highly evocative presentations, then ops ops ops - getting them stable and rapid, profitable and easy to maintain.
Some of this lies in an educated approach to seasoning; something our industry rarely covers - Elliot will go through their ethos at Cocktail Trading Company, Royal Cocktail Exchange and Murder Inc. Some of it lies in creativity and opening up to thinking outside the glass, while more of it lies in - you guessed it - spreadsheets. The team will run through a couple of the ones that are vital to them in fully but quickly executing profitable concept-led drinks. Think of it as a bartender's toolkit - these are the bits that enable all your ideas to go further.
The CTC team want to get as many creatives as possible to contribute - and as a group, you'll top-to-bottom a drink there and then, and probably sit around after and enjoy...
