From its beautiful rustic interior to its moreish Frozen Martinis, plate-scrapping chocolate mousse and smooth coffee, Ever After is the newest opening from Ali Burgess and sister to his award-winning bar Happiness Forgets, which is dangerously located downstairs. The bar replaces Petit Pois, another of Ali’s successes and we’re happy to say that the same Shoreditch bistro feel resonates, plus the gigantic bowls of chocolate mousse have remained! A menu of -15° Martinis are served straight from the freezer, the curated wine list is always worth a look and the food offers an array of lighter bites from Masterchef finalist Victor Ofunime Okunowo. This is the style of venue that marries food, drinks and impeccable, but laid-back service perfectly, so it’s easy to while away an afternoon here overlooking buzzy Hoxton Square. These fantastic little neighbourhood gems, with more of a nod to a European-style are popping up more and more across London, but it takes someone like Ali to get the drinks offering just right too…
