WHY WE LOVE THIS BAR...

The 40 Elephants has had so much care and thought put into its storytelling that as soon as you arrive we’d suggest asking a member of staff about the preparation for both the interior design and the menu. Long story short for the purpose of this review – there was a terrifying gang of thieving women roaming  London from the 18th- to early 20th-century. As this bar is set within the walls of where their crimes have been investigated – Great Scotland Yard is paying homage to all 40 of said gang members. The drinks list is inventive and unusual. The garnishes are flamboyant and fun. As always, we’d suggest trying to get a seat at the bar so you can appreciate the craftsmanship from the bartenders and hear the stories behind each drink.

Also tucked away in the hotel is Sibin - this whisky bar is most definitely one to seek out. Its carefully curated and ever-evolving collection consists of over 100 bottles from around the globe and the menu also features a whole selection of whisky cocktails, featuring the classics as well as the more outlandish.
