WHY WE LOVE THIS BAR...
Callooh Callay has been winning awards for as long as it’s been open. A space of many guises this bar has the uncanny knack of being all-things to all-people. Once you’re past the bouncers (this is still Rivington Street) the ground floor bar is a mishmash of bar stools and low tables that are great for larger groups, but on a chilly night can sometimes be a bit cold. Then there’s the worst-kept-secret-door-of-all-time that leads through to the back room bar which is stuffed full of reflective surfaces and best of all, metal palm trees. Fun. Not content with just two spaces, there’s another room on the first floor which reinvents itself regularly with special guest bartenders and pop-ups from all around the world.
