WHY WE LOVE THIS BAR...
The dark and dimly-lit backroom to a vintage Mac repair shop now plays host to a hidden-away gem in Bethnal Green. The space has been designed to evoke the feeling of nature reclaiming the space with the sunken bar being an unusual talking point. The greenery gives a subtle nod to the style of drinks served here. Owner Josh is a big fan of urban foraging, so you’re likely to find all manner of linden, woodruff and sea beet, found on a quick jaunt to Victoria Park. But don’t be put off by the unusual ingredients, these are some well-mixed drinks using good-quality spirits. The presentation is lovely too, with simple garnishes and glassware to match. We always recommend popping your head in if you’re in the area, as they’ve usually got a remedy for everyone.
