WHY WE LOVE THIS BAR...
The Lobby Bar smells delicious. This wasn’t where we thought we’d start this review, but it feels rude not to mention it. They should sell that smell. The room is glorious and the gateway to either Berners Tavern or the Punch Room, but as a stand-alone venue, it holds its own. The room is so pretty and while the ceiling is ludicrously high, it never echoes. The true win is to get a bar stool, preferably on the right hand corner and settle in to be superbly looked after by the A-team assembled behind the bar.
The Punch Room, a cosy little bar right at the back of the Edition Hotel is a hidden gem of a space that always has a great vibe, so is worth checking out as well. Low leather sofas, an open fire and attentive staff make this a perfect spot for date night or late night drinks with pals. The cocktails are always extremely well made and as you get comfy in the wood panelled room it's easy for a few hours to slip by.
Berners Tavern is an unbelievably impressive room with every inch of the walls covered in grand oil paintings. Predominantly a restaurant - there is a small seated bar area in front of the unbelievably eye catching back bar - a gleaming golden tower of bottles as the centrepiece of the room.
