SEPTEMBER 2021: COGNAC FRAPIN joins the BIGGEST COCKTAIL FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD

London’s unrivalled cocktail festival runs from 01-31 October 2021 and Cognac Frapin have joined forces with some of the best cocktail bars in the city to create Frapin signature cocktails for all tastes and desires.

Frapin is an award-winning, single estate cognac maker located the heart of the Cognac region. It stands out for its vineyard-to-bottle and human-led approach which impacts on every stage of the production process and results in very special, flavour-driven and smooth cognacs. In safe hands since 1270, Frapin is still owned by the founding family who have grown grapes on the same estate for more than 21 generations.

With a festival wristband (£15), you can enjoy Frapin signature cocktails throughout the whole month of October for just £7 each.

PEONY AT OPIUM, CHINA TOWN

First Flush Old Fashioned is a cocktail made with Frapin 1270 and infused with a first flush Darjeeling tea, sugar, and bitters. Try it in this tiny bar hidden upstairs in China Town’s favourite Opium restaurant in Gerrard Street. With a scattering of just 25 seats, book ahead to avoid disappointment and enjoy a cocktail menu from the dynamic duo Rosa & Julian inspired by major cities in China with a mountain of dim sum.

BLACK BOOK SOHO

A choice of two Frapin cocktails – why not try both! Dreams come true, made with Frapin Cognac VSOP, strawberry and Champagne reduction, dry Curacao and orange bitters and Memories, a milk punch made with Frapin 1270, winter spices, crème de cacao blanc and dry curacao. This boutique basement bar and kitchen was founded by two Master Sommeliers. The bar, formerly known as TRADE had a secret “Black Book” of hand-scribed fine and rare wine. Inspired by this, they renamed the bar - and threw open the doors for everyone to enjoy.

THE HEDGEROW AT CONRAD LONDON ST JAMES’S

A glamorous cocktail bar inspired by nature with a dramatic marbled bar is the setting for Grape and Stone, made with 1270 Cognac, Coffee Liqueur, Amaretto and London Essence Peach and Jasmine Soda. The menu offers a taste of the countryside, with an intriguing collection of cocktails created by top mixologist Gregorio Soriente.

And if cocktails alone are not enough, enjoy a a night of cocktails, live music and art when Cognac Frapin and Nocturne (a pre-prohibition basement bar in South Kensington) take-over BLACK BOOK SOHO on Wednesday 6th October, 5pm until 1am. Bartender Luca Gilmozzi has created a special menu featuring pre-prohibition cocktails and a bar snack menu will complement the cocktails. Bertrand Verduzier from Cognac Frapin will be on hand for informal chat about Frapin and cognac. All accompanied by a live vocal acoustic set. There is also a display of work from up-and-coming artist Koni Koleva to enjoy. What’s not to love?
