WHY WE LOVE THIS BAR...

A Mayfair hotel restaurant where there is history in the walls, located in Brown’s Hotel just off Piccadilly. Charlie’s is the main restaurant, headed up by Adam Byatt of Trinity in Clapham fame. His team cook up classic modern European dishes with a seasonal touch, served on white table clothed tables surrounded by interiors from award-winning designer Olga Polizzi. Botanical wallpaper, interesting art and deeply polished wooden walls provide the perfect backdrop to grab a drink from the small bar area at the front. The Champagne cocktails have been designed by Salvatore Calabrese who masterminds the drinks for the Donovan Bar next door (always worth a visit) and at £20 each they’re not cheap, but he is one of the best. The wine list is lengthy and impressive, but staff are always on hand to guide you. All in all a great little bar, whether you’re dining in the restaurant or just popping in for something fantastic and fizzy.
